2017 Annual Meeting & Society of Fellows Recognition Reception
Project Youth OCBF’s Annual Meeting & Society of Fellows Recognition Reception will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at First American Financial Corporation. Judge David O. Carter will represent Project Youth as master of ceremonies.
The event will provide an opportunity to take a look back on 2017 and acknowledge the donors, agencies, businesses, and volunteers that make our work possible and successful. A special thanks and congratulations to the 2017 award recipients that will be recognized and honored for their dedication and commitment to Project Youth:
Society of Fellows Distinguished Judicial Fellow Award:
The Honorable Gail A. Andler for her outstanding services to the Orange County Community.
Society of Fellows Distinguished Fellow Award:
Michael Hornak for his outstanding services on behalf of Project Youth OCBF and the Orange County Community.
22nd Annual Robert “Sammy” Barnes Award:
*To be announced at the Annual Meeting. Visit the Sammy Award page to learn more.*
Community Partner Awards:
Michael Borchard, M&N Foods LLP, a Carls Jr. Franchise owner who most generously provides lunch to our golfers each year. We are so appreciative of his support of our biggest fundraiser; without his support this event would not be nearly as successful; and
Hoag Hospital for their unwavering support and dedication to Project Youth OCBF programs. Most especially, the Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living, which is a collaborative endeavor, bringing like-minded organizations and nonprofits under one roof. The Center allows providers to take an integrated, holistic approach to community services addressing everything from health care to legal services, to mental health and spiritual support. The center is positioned to become a national model of integration, cooperation and effective community service.
Community Volunteer Award:
Sandi Warneke for her volunteer support which helped us make our new building a home. Sandi designed and secured the donation of a beautiful floor-to-ceiling wall graphic that depicts the youth focused work we do at Project Youth OCBF which hangs proudly in our front stairway. Additionally, Sandi has designed our donor appreciation wall and got donated wall tiles to recognize all those generous donors who support us in paying off our mortgage to secure our permanent home for the future, thus allowing us to focus our resources on our youth programs.
