On Wednesday, May 18, the Orange County Bar Foundation held a very special evening honoring the 2016 graduates of its Higher Education Mentoring Program at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity in Costa Mesa. Higher Education Mentoring Program Chair and OCBF board member Carolyn McKitterick served as the mistress of ceremonies, and OCBF President Kyle Kawakami greeted families and guests. Attendees had the pleasure of hearing this year’s keynote speaker, Special Assistant Attorney General of California Mónica M. Ramírez. An outstanding role model for our youth, Mónica’s words were motivating and inspiring to all.
Thanks to the generosity of the following donors, all 26 graduates were presented with college scholarships, dorm kits, and backpacks filled with college supplies:
