On Tuesday, the 8th of December, OCBF held its Annual Meeting and Society of Fellows Recognition Reception at the lovely First American Corporation location, which featured a beautiful holiday setting and amazing food. Masters of Ceremonies Justice David Thompson, along with OCBF’s 2015 President Christopher P. Wesierski, recognized OCBF volunteers and supporters. Several awards were presented, in gratitude for the commitment and efforts of the award recipients on behalf of OCBF. Among them included the Outstanding Community Partner Awards, given to two valued partners, Advanced Depositions and Hands of Mercy Food Bank. The Outstanding Academic Partner Award was presented to Santa Ana Unified School District teacher Lori Cervantes. The 8th Annual Society of Fellows Distinguished Award went to Steve G. Hittelman, and the 7th Annual Society of Fellows Distinguished Judicial Award went to Commissioner Richard G. Vogl (Ret.). View Society of Fellows award recipients here. OCBF’s most prestigious award, the “Sammy,” was presented to loyal friend, volunteer, and supporter Carolyn C. McKitterick, who graciously accepted. View Sammy Award recipients here. OCBF’s 2016 president, Kyle S. Kawakami, and associate board president, Miguel P. Prietto, followed the awards presentations with their goals and vision for OCBF in the upcoming year. Justice Thompson concluded the evening by installing OCBF’s new board and associate board members and executive officers for 2016.
